You are who you choose to be
Every person carries stories, experiences and convictions that have defined who they are. Some of them deserve to go beyond memory; they deserve to become a permanent mark. My work is to represent those stories, interpret their meaning, and give them a form capable of transcending time.
The Artist
Before the skin, there was a path through drawing, painting and sculpture — there was preparation. Every artistic expression taught me the same truth: excellence is built from your convictions.
Santjakov is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Pereira, Colombia, working from New York City. His whip shading technique brings compositions to skin with the look and softness of graphite on paper, building every piece from dedication and a deep interest in reaching an authentic, sincere expression.
